If you’ve heard about Boom Cards and want to learn more, you’re in the right spot! Keep reading for some freebies!

WHAT ARE BOOM CARDS?

Boom Cards are digital task cards hosted on the Boom Learning platform. I would describe them as an interactive slide deck for students. Some “decks” are full of information, some are full of skill practice, and others are a mix of both. The Boom Learning platform is full of engaging decks for lots of subjects and all ages!

HOW (AND WHERE) TO USE BOOM CARDS

I really love Boom Cards because they are SO versatile! Of course there are different types of decks (informational, skill practice etc.) but most decks can be used in various ways. They are perfect for whole-class lessons, small-group lessons, independent work time, classroom or library centers, or extra practice at home.

PROS OF BOOM CARDS

  • No prep for you!

  • Easy to assign and easy for students to navigate

  • Engaging learning

  • A nice break from paper-pencil work

HOW CAN YOU ACCESS BOOM CARDS?

You can access decks on the Boom Learning platform OR many decks are also sold on Teachers Pay Teachers. When you purchase them on the Boom Learning website, you purchase points to buy decks. Many sellers often sell their Boom decks on TPT as well for the same price. I would suggest you check if the deck in on TPT, because by purchasing it there you can earn credits!

WANT TO DIVE DEEPER INTO BOOM CARDS?

Boom Learning has an amazing video library on YouTube. They post lots of great videos to walk you through anything you need to know about the platform, assigning decks, ideas for using decks and more!
